About Us

The DIG Scotland  Group has now been running for a number of years. We were  formed in 2012 and became the Scotland Centre of the Digital Imaging Group in October 2013. With  around 25 active participants with various skill levels, we are always keen to see new participants. You don't have to be a member of the RPS or Digital Imaging Group to come along, but membership does bring benefits.

We are a very friendly and enthusiastic group and enjoy constructive discussions about our latest images, ideas, photography, processing techniques and art in general. Recognising the broad use of digital technology, our work is varied and covers most photographic genres. Since taking over as Centre Organiser, I would like to think that the group could fulfil that place just above the work of local camera clubs and societies where members would be more experience in their photographic skills. I’m sure that attendees won’t want to be lectured at, rather they would enjoy engaging in discussion about images, techniques and ideas that need expanding and developing, perhaps leading to the next level of distinction within the RPS.

It has been disappointing that many of the original attendees have dropped off as the only active RPS group in Scotland I would like to encourage both RPS DIG and non-DIG members to come along and help us build the Centre into the active group it deserves to be.
